As the method can mitigate the cause of dust hazards and slurry ruptures, muck
pumping is gaining popularity as a unique muck transport method for a tunnel construction
sites. There are two types of pumps by their purposes: tunnel-face and relay.<\/p>\n

Much Pumping Flow<\/h4>\n

[1] P0 Pump [2] Hydraulic Unit<\/span><\/p>\n

The pump is directly installed on a screw conveyor of a shield TBM, and sends excavated muck to a subsequent pump. The hydraulic unit is installed on the nearest trailing gear.<\/p>\n

[3] Earth-Pressure Pump Control Panel<\/span><\/p>\n

Allows controlling the pump system by placing remote control panel near the shield operator panel. (Installed on the operator’s cavin).<\/p>\n

[4] Low Velocity Flowmeter<\/span><\/p>\n

By inserting it between the pipes, it measures and displays the flow of the pumped earth. It can also remotely analyze and record data.<\/p>\n

[5] Hydraulic Unit [6] P1 Pump<\/span><\/p>\n

The relay pump system that receives muck from P0 pump, and then relays it to asubsequent pump. An additional relay pump will be installed, depending on the excavation distance.<\/p>\n

[7] Snake-Type Stretchable Pipe<\/span><\/p>\n

Conjoint link of pipes that extend and retracts for the pipeline extension. It features high pressure resilience and compatibility for a curved tunnel.<\/p>\n

[8] Noise Damper<\/span><\/p>\n

The equipment dampens the noise and shocks from a sudden change in pressure inside the pipes while pumping is in progress.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
